This will be an account of my time in Peace Corps. I will be in Mauritania, Western Africa from June 17, 2008- August 29, 2010. I will be doing Health Education and Prevention; working with the AIDS, malaria, and malnutrition epidemics. I am cut off from major forms of communication and will thus be using this blog to keep in touch so please read what I am doing, and be interactive! Post any questions or comments you have!

-Number your letters so we know if they arrive out of order or if one is missing.- Here are some other helpful hints about sending mail:1. Address the envelope in red ink.2. Don't include anything valuable inside like checks or cash.3. If sending a postcard, put it in an envelope, as they tend to get lost or stolen.Write a lot. I will love to hear from you all.

okay....this is my 2nd attempt!!!! so....I use this 2nd chance to ALSO change MY name. As you can see...I am NOW "PENNE-P" which I feel I must explain.....it's short for it's penne pasta!!!!! You see, YOU are now Jemilla (which reminds me of gemelli pasta) so.......... :) Just thought I would share a little silliness with you!!! Anyway..I still say "God bless you"!!! Your mom is soooo proud of you and I am sooo glad that she shares your experiences with us. Just CAN'T even imagine!!!! anyway...your mom is getting SOME of us enthusiastic about travelling in your direction!!!! You never know!!!(of course, Mrs. T. would NOT be included in the enthusiastic group - I could bet my life on her saying "I'll man the fort for all who want to go"!!!!!! Please take care of yourself and stay safe!!!!! :)
